 8/30/11 Main Points Marc Guerraz was hired to help New Mexico  Power transition to a competitive environment for  energy services, which will occur in 1 year. Customers will be allowed to select their provider  of electricity. One of the crucial questions for New Mexico  Power is that of current customer retention. Marc & his team designed & fielded a survey in  the current service territory of New Mexico  Power.

 8/30/11 Survey Results 500 customers 22% of customers would switch Margin of error is 4%, which means that (at 95%  confidence level) the actual percentage of  customers switching could be as low as 18% or as  high as 26% New Mexico Power senior management is  concerned about this error of 4%.
