Information given: Tom, David, Dale and Murdock are four business students who want to rent a four bedroom apartment together for the Fall Semester. Tom, David, Dale and Murdock have identified the three factors important to them in choosing a location for their apartment: Proximity to Campus, Cost of Rent, and the Ratio of Female to Male Residents. Based on information supplied by real estate agents, they have rated three possible apartment locations on these factors, where 1 means worst and 10 means best: The Courtyard Apartments The Garden Apartments La Mancha Apartments Proximity to Campus 10 1 9 Cost of Rent 7 10 8 Ratio of Female to Male Residents 5 5 8 While the four friends can agree on what factors are important, they don't agree on which of the three factors are more important than the remaining factors. Using a weighting scale in which all three factor weights add up to 1.0, Tom and David agree that the Ratio of Female to Male Residents is the most important and should receive a weight of 0.6 . Tom and David both agree that Proximity to Campus should have a weight of 0.2 and Cost of Rent a weight of 0.2 . Dale, however, doesn't own a car, so he gives Proximity to Campus a weight of 0.75 . Dale then weights Cost of Rent 0.2 , and Ratio of Female to Male Residents as 0.05 . Murdock says that all three factors are equally important to him; he has no favorites. Using the factor rating method, answer the next three questions, based on this information.
