Johnson’s rule minimizes the makespan of the schedule. How do you get a group of jobs done “ASAP”? 1. Select the job with the shortest time any workcenter. If that time refers to the first workcenter, schedule that job first . If that job refers to the second workcenter, schedule that job last . 2. Cross that job off your list. 3.
