American Govt 22 March 2010_Mon. Elections: Elections in the United States -The American political system is notable for the large number of elections we hold -Primary and General Election -National, State, and Local Elections -What are some of the advantages and disadvantages of having a lot of elections. Election Rules -Some set by  Constitution : -Who may vote -Who may run for national offices -Some set by  federal law : -Date of election -Who may donate and how much in national elections.            -(Used to make it harder to vote, so that the people who are already registered have a lot  to say.) - Most of the rest is set by state law
