James Thompson SOC 410 Discussion Questions 9-14-10 Rhoades Reading-  How much of the discrepancies in AIAN cerebrovascular disease be explained by their  location and living situations rather than race?  Do those who live on reservations experience  higher rates of this?  Is it because of the alcoholic and drug-abusing culture that has become  prominent on some reservations?  The article says that those of AIAN descent living in cities did  not have noticeably different rates of CVD than other races.   Campbell Reading- Does someone of a minority race who frequently gets misclassified experience more  perceived discrimination than someone of the same race who is not generally misclassified?  Does misclassification matter more than being of the minority race itself?  Do those who have  more clear-cut racial appearances feel more “socially accepted” than those who experience
