Sharon Ng Psychology 1 May 18, 2009 Psychology Essay #10 – Adult ADHD This audio covered some interesting aspects of adult ADHD. It examines attention deficit hyperactivity disorder as it occurs in adults, including its prominent features, treatments and possible stigma. Adult attention-deficit disorder is used to describe the neuropsychiatric condition when it is present in adults. Those with ADHD have problems with self-regulations and self-motivation because they have tends to get overly distracted, procrastinate a lot, and lack organization. Although this is the case, an adult with ADHD’s learning potential is no different than adults without the disorder. ADHD, a chronic condition, begins in early childhood and stays with the person through his lifetime. Those with ADHD tend to have significant impacts on education, employment, and relationships. Adults with ADHD are seen to be chaotically disorganized. Some of these people may become so overwhelmed that they may turn to smoking or alcohol. Others suffer anxiety,
