Trevor Davis Period 3 All the Caring People Someone who takes on responsibility for others is someone who will live a happier life. This is why I believe that we as humans are responsible for the well being of other humans. It not only creates good karma but it also brings joy. In All the Pretty Horses , a novel written by Cormac McCarthy, one character shows us the right way of handling a responsible situation and another character shows us the wrong way. John Grady Cole, a young and ambitious future cowboy, takes on the responsibility for another human being, Blevins, a runaway lost child, because he feels that it is his role to be this caring person. On the other hand, Rawlins, the best friend of John, is totally against in helping Blevins out because he does not like giving people chances. In the end, John does this because he is a mature, caring, and nurturing guy that is always looking out for his own kind. When John and Rawlins first notice Blevins following them, they are very uneasy of whom it might be because of the uncertainty of the area they are in. But as soon as the boys get
