MGF1010 Introduction to Management Practice Examination The examination will consist of two parts. Part one will consist of four essay questions of which you will be required to answer two. Part two will consist of ten short answer questions of which you will be required to answer six. Below are example questions. The exam essay questions aim to assess your broader understanding of some of the major topics which have been covered in your studies in MGF 1010. The exam short answer questions are similar to the review questions that appear throughout each chapter in the textbook. Reviewing these questions is also an excellent way to prepare for the exam. PART ONE Essay Questions (40%) There are four (4) questions in this part of the examination. You are required to answer TWO (2) questions Each question is worth 20 marks QUESTION 1 How do organisations acquire their culture? Try to use an example to illustrate how an organisation’s culture is established, maintained and communicated to employees. If a manager wants to change the organisation’s culture, what are his or her chances and options to do so? QUESTION 2
