1 BMES 673 Biosimulation II Winter 2010-11 PROJECT INFORMATION The main deliverable for this class will be the Project and the Presentation, which will include all of the key objectives: model formulation, simulation, evaluation / interpretation, and interaction with experimental data. You will be evaluated on your ability to demonstrate these objectives independently of any previous published work, though I'm not expecting a publication-quality research paper. On the other hand, overall creativity / novelty, as well as degree of difficulty of the problem will be taken into account in the grading. You may work individually or in pairs, depending on your preference. First, you will have to identify something to model, which can be a biological process (at the physiological or cellular scale, or even at the environmental / social scale, or at multiple scales), a biomedical device, or the interaction between a biomedical device and a biological process (or multiple processes). This can have something to do with your research or past work that you've done, but it can't be work that you've already completed for another class or for your research. You also
