There are several implications for embellishing on a job résumé . You might get hired for a job that you are not qualified for. For example, if you say that you are qualified to run a forklift and you have never driven one in your life you may kill or injure someone if you are asked to drive the forklift. There is always the chance that they actually do a thorough background check and realized that you lied on your résumé and you will get fired and tarnish your name and chances of getting jobs elsewhere. Telling someone something other than the truth is lying and that is morally wrong. It comes down to choosing what's easy over what's right. If you choose what is right every time you can’t go wrong.
