Final Project Topic 2 Final Project Topic The question that I have chosen for my topic is “when one selects a particular professional life, does that also give one a certain set of moral obligations?” Yes, when a person selects a specific profession for their career, I believe that some jobs do come with a certain set of moral obligations for people to follow. A few examples of this would be a doctor, lawyers, teachers, and even therapists all have both moral obligations to the people’s lives that they affect on a daily basis. The career field that I am going into is a child psychologist; working with children. I know that most people in this field do have an ethical code but I believe that they also have moral obligations as well, not only to their patients but to their patient’s families the same way that a medical doctor would. One main issue that many medical doctors deal with morally is when the law obstructs a
