Uyen Thai Professor Krucli English 100 October 27, 2010 VIETNAM VS USA Since I was a young little kid, I have enjoyed the opportunities to travel around Asia with my beloved family. I have been to Singapore, which is one of the world’s smallest countries in area but enjoys being one of the fastest in economic growth, China, who is not also the most populated country in the world but one of the oldest and has many well-known historical attractions that draw millions of visitors every year. Nevertheless, I believe, the highlight of the whole traveling experience would be my journey to the state three years ago, where I have been able to be exposed to a variety of new things that I had never encountered way back in Vietnam. Even though Vietnam and USA differ greatly, especially in terms of culture and economic development, they indeed have a few things in common , probably because of the fact that they both came out of the Vietnam war and that the majority of the Vietnamese refugees, who fled the country during that chaotic times, now live and form a small community in the
