Anderson. Grading: two tests (30% each) comprehensive ²nal (30%) homework (10%) Course Description: This course develops the basics of compressible gas dynamics. Topics to be covered include: 1. Development of the governing equations of compressible ³uid ³ow 2. One-dimensional ³ow with area change, friction, and heat transfer 3. Oblique and normal shock waves and their interactions 4. Prandtl-Meyer expansion waves and contact surfaces Class Attendence I expect you to attend every class unless you have a university-approved excuse. This class does not have a website. All material that you are responsible for will be given in class. I will sometimes e-mail homeworks to you and will also provide keys to homework assignments if the TA does not grade them in time for you to use to study for exams. Homework Policy:
