The Foundation Memo is your safety net (5% of final grade). What if I spend 20 hours on an idea that was doomed from the outset? Neither of us wants that to happen! That’s why I’ve listed a number of questions below that will guide you through the process of choosing a workable topic and organizational scenario. Be sure to that your idea is complex enough to require several people to lead its execution and that it requires a budget. Format your answers as a memo from you to me. Provide a very brief lead-in sentence: “The purpose of this memo is to ________________ so that you can ____________________.” You’ve gotten very good at this! Then use my questions as your numbered headings and answer each question in full sentences. Some will require longer answers than others. Generally the foundation memos run about 1 ½ -- 2 pages, including headings. I’ve posted some samples; read them but do not use them as templates. To ensure a successful proposal, you’d need to answer these questions anyway; they will help
