The first worker takes a product from the queue of workstation A, completes all the operations assigned to workstation A, and places a partly completed assembly in the second worker’s queue. The company needs to decide which design to adopt: perform operations 1, 2 and 3 on workstation A and operations 4 and 5 on workstation B; or perform 1 and 2 in workstation A and 3, 4 and 5 in workstation B. Assume that parts arrive according to a Poisson process with mean 5 per hour. Upon creating a simulation in ARENA, by performing 10 independent replications, warm-up period of 2 days and replication length of 30 days a table of cycle time
