Administrative law: law passed by agencies Week 2 VA is in the south eastern reporter Statute of limitation- how long you have to file when you are injured. Discovery interrogatories: written question which must be answered under penalty of perjury Subpoena duces tectum: request to produce records If someone files for summary judgment you can submit an affidavit (sworn statement) Challenge for the cause- eliminating a witness because they show bias (if not granted have 3 preemptory challenges) Cases open and close with the plaintiff Case in chief narrows what we will dispute Mediation-fastest ADR Protective order-limit discovery Directed verdict: failed to prove some aspect of the case Chapter 6 Unintentional torts include negligence and strict liability...
