COURSE DESCRIPTION Work place ethics introduces the student to historical and current topics of cultural, societal and interpersonal values and ethics seen in the work place. Emphasis is placed on the study and application of concepts, issues and perspectives relevant to the work place. COURSE OBJECTIVES AND LEARNING OUTCOMES The goal of this course is to provide the student with the skills necessary to make well reasoned moral judgments regarding moral issues and dilemmas as they arise in the classroom and the workplace. REQUIRED TEXT Ethics Applied , by Lisa Newton and Keith Goree, et.al., Edition 5.0. Pearson Education. GRADING Your final grade will be calculated based on homework assignments (40%), quizzes (30%), professional moral issue presentations (20%), final exam (10%). Grades will be assigned as follows: A= 90-100; B+=86-89; B= 80-85; C+=76-79; C= 70- 75; D+=65-69; D= 59-64; F= less than 59. HOMEWORK
