Checkpoint - Social Construction of Reality I have had several different social statuses in my life. However, at the moment, I am a full time student and the wife of a soldier. Those two are significantly different from each other. My life as a student is a pretty traditional one. I interact with classmates when I need to. I am always polite, proper and I use the correct grammar and way of speaking. My classmates will never see me act out at all; I use a very professional decorum when dealing with my education. My life as a military wife is very different. I

I am not proper around him. I tend to curse, use improper grammar and ultimately have a good time. However, when I am required to go to a meeting that involves his job, I am more like the quiet profession. There is a time and place to act certain ways, and I always know those proper times. So my social statuses influence how I act in my day to day life....
