The problem in this study is the experiences of pregnancy from an adolescent female point of view. The purpose of the study was to get a day-to-day experience of pregnancy from a pregnant adolescent and use it as a basis for developing appropriate nursing interventions. The hypothesis states, “ sexuality is a normal part of human development; however, sexual activity initiated during adolescence presents a number of challenges. Teenage pregnancy, in particular, is a major social concern”(Spear H.J. p. 574). The study was conducted using a qualitative approach. Eight pregnant teens between the ages of 13 and 19 were chosen from an alternative school program for pregnant teens. The inclusion criteria for the study were (a) any pregnancy (b) ability to speak English (c) aged 13 to 19 and (d) enrollment in the alternative school program.
