Audience: They took to my writing better than I thought. I might not be as bad as I thought. Purpose: I feel I did very well in fulfilling my purpose. I think that because of how the audience responded to my story. Rhetorical Situation: My situation was about the flooding in 2008. I responded by writing a narrative about how it effected me. Voice and Tone: I revealed my personality by letting the reader know that someone’s trash is another man’s treasure. I used a humorous tone in the paper. Context, Medium, and Genre: I wrote in an experiential genre in a print medium with relevant context. Learning/Inquiry: I discovered that people like a little bit of humor to keep them hooked on the story. I discovered that I wasn’t as bad at writing as I thought. I learned that, apparently, I have had some interesting experiences. Responsibility: I fulfilled my responsibility to the readers and to the people that wrote about me by giving them a story worth reading. Reading and Research: I relied on my memories when writing this paper.
