Making Plots of Data and Functions

homework assignments require you to make
plots of data and/or functions using a spreadsheet program
•
Please use a good spreadsheet program such as Microsoft
Excel (part of Microsoft Office) to make a plot and then print
it out to hand in.
•
Label a plot and both axes appropriately (e.g., with units)
•
Tutorials on how to use Excel to enter data and make plots
are given in Item 1 of the “Text Supplements” folder on the
Physics 221 web site
•
You can get help using Excel from the TAs in the help room
•
You will not receive credit for a required plot unless it is
drawn with a spreadsheet program and is properly labeled
