Unformatted text preview: Nick Gomez Communications 101-023 1/25/11 Exercise #1-Speed Meeting The communicare process took place during our speed meetings through a series of basic questions to get to know each other at least a little bit better and even with some people it was completely random questions to get to know each other on a deeper level. We only had maybe two minutes so there wasnt a whole lot of time. I feel as if with some people that time was all I needed and some people I needed more time to get to know them. For some of my classmates I feel as if I found a common ground that allow[ed] us to share a greater clarity( Communication Counts , p.9) with one another, but then with others it seemed as if we couldnt get that fidelity and that we might never get it which was fine with me in a way. I think the highest level of fidelity was found when we talked about our hometowns. Some people just lit up and were more than happy to talk about their hometowns, others not so much but the ones that didnt light up...
