Unformatted text preview: Due Monday, Feb 28, 2011 BME 201, Spring 2011 - HOMEWORK #5 Analysis of the Frog Nerve Conduction Velocity Data Files orthodromic.xls and antidromic.xls contain all measurements of conduction velocity that you have sent me. Each pair of columns contains a data set from one team; columns hold distance in mm and delay im ms, respectively. Note that data sets have different number of rows, as nerves differed in length. Missing data are denoted by -1. The columns in both files are arranged in the same order, e.g., columns G-H in orthodromic.xls and antidromic.xls represent measurements from the same nerve. Files orth.txt and anti.txt contain the same data (except the first row that contains the headers has been deleted) in the plain text format, which is easier to import into the Matlab. In order to complete this assignment, you will need to use what you have learned in your statistics class regarding linear regression and testing of statistical hypotheses.
