Andrew Coppa Phil 003 12/9/10 Social Network Paper Friendship In The Social Network The values and beliefs of friendship are heavily displayed in the recent film, “The Social Network.” Throughout this course we’ve studied many philosophers and their definitions of friendship. I now have a collaborated and comprehensive understanding of friendships and the way they work. In the movie, “The Social Network”, there is an underlying friendship between Mark (Founder Of Facebook) and his “best friend” Eduardo. This friendship falls apart when Mark tricks his partner and best friend Eduardo into depleting his rightful shares of the company of Facebook. Like many of the philosophers we have studied said, one must love himself before they are truly capable for true friendship. Mark was insecure about himself and didn’t have respect for himself. He always was in a jealous state of mind when referring or interacting with Eduardo. When the time came to ditch his supposedly best friend he
