Rating the News Sites Breaking news is shared by major news networks in different ways with the public. Found in today’s breaking news headlines: Six people were killed in a shooting within a trailer located in Breathitt County, Kentucky. The first such difference is that this is breaking news on both MSNBC and Fox News websites while CNN had no coverage. I conducted a search of CNN.com and could pull no information up pertaining to this incident. It is confusing as to why only two out of the three major news networks would consider this breaking news. My only guess as to why this could be is that the incident occurred on September 11, 2010. September 11 th is considered a day of solemn remembrance for the United States of America and possibly overshadowed other news stories within the country that might have been otherwise covered by CNN. Each of the other websites also had links to other news stories from around the country and world, as well as sponsor links. MSNBC carried links to other major new stories as labeled them as Related: Crimes and Courts. Fox News labeled its links as You Might Also Be Interested In. Fox News’ links were less major news stories and more fluff stories such as “10 Worst Places

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
