Prelim #3 Review Sheet Exam Format 15 questions 100 points total Things to keep in mind: The prelim specifically covers lectures 13-19 and the lab 3. The prelim broadly covers the whole class- make sure you are familiar with basic concepts that were covered on the first prelim. It would be a good idea to go over the notes that you took in class (i.e. the things that Dr. Fischbach has you fill in into the slides and the tables she makes on the board). Once again, you are not expected to memorize formulas. Specific things to consider looking over: Lecture 13,14 – Adaptation mechanisms What is desensitization and what are its mechanisms? What are arrestins and what functions do they serve? Understand the concept of resensitization. Understand the model of β-adrenergic receptor adaptation (i.e. equation variables, assumptions, etc.) What is the cause of chronic myeloid leukemia and how does the disease manifest? Lecture 15-19 – Cellular Transport
