The very basic tools of the HRM knowing about JOBs To know about a job: you have to find out what the worker has to do To perform his duties, what must he/she know and have the skills in order to be able to do it? How do I make it clear to that person (and others) what that particular job is? The comprehensive document is called : Job Description A list of the knowledge, skills and ability ( KSA ) required are called: Job Specifications Break down the work into components: assessing problems, choosing the right tool, removing the defect, testing the result, etc. That is called : Job Analysis

First, how do we go about doing a Job analysis? Definition of Job Analysis : a systematic process of gathering information about a task, a job and relations between jobs First, find out what the job requires the worker do Whatever the worker does must be compatible with the company strategy.
