Construct and Support an Argument With the struggling economy and employers laying workers off I knew now was the time for me to get my masters degree and stand out from other applicants during an interview. Attaining my master’s degree has always been a personal goal of mine as I would be the first person in my family to have received one. Currently I work as an enrollment counselor and the additional education I will achieve by completing my masters will help me better perform at my current job as well as help me further my career. The Jungian Personality self-assessment concluded that I am innovative and entrepreneurial and that I would possibly pursue a career in politics or finance. My decision to pursue my MBA degree was to further my career, start a new career, and to accomplish my personal goal of achieving a Master’s degree in business. Earlier this year I was laid-off and realized that finding a good job was very difficult. There were so few good jobs and so many qualified candidates interviewing for the few high-quality one that were out there. This was an eye awakening for me.
