Determine the limits of tolerance for the inner and outer diameters of the bushing if the fit between the bushing and the pulley is an LN2 interference locational fit and the fit between the shaft and the bushing is an RC6 running clearance fit. For the LN2 fit, the standard limits for the outer diameter of the bushing is given in Appendix 32 of the class notes as + 0.001” and +0.0016”. Thus the limits of tolerance for the outer diameter of the bushing are 1.5010” to 1.5016 “. For the RC6 fit, the standard limits for the outer diameter of the bushing is given in Appendix 29 of the class notes as + 0” and +0.0025”.
