The American Revolution Radical or not Radical? The American Revolution was not radical. Although, there was violence through the battles both the Patriots and the British had control and it wasn't an uncontainable situation where there was murder for no reason. During the Battle of Princeton the Patriot troops remained under George Washington’s control and did not resort to violence. The Patriots left their fire’s burning and tricked them, then attacked. The colonists had control over themselves and did not just resort to plain violence and murder of the British troops and their community in Princeton.
