1. Discuss the following statement: “Marketing is a human activity that is not limited to business organizations or  monetary exchanges.”  Marketing is an organizational function and a set of processes for creating , communicating, and delivering value  to customers and for managing customer relationships in ways that benefit the organization and its  stockholders.  As an organizational philosophy, marketing is an orientation where everyone in the organization is  driven by the marketing concept to satisfy customer needs. A way that marketing is not limited to business  organizations or monetary exchanges is at the social level. At the social level, marketing is the process that  determines the flow of goods a and services from producers to consumers  in a society.  2. Evaluate the following statement: "Over the long term, product competitors may pose greater challenges to  business firms and/or industries than brand competitors".  This means that in the competitive environment, which consists of all the organizations that attempt to serve the  same customers, over a long period of time, since product competitors compete more indirectly by offering  different types of products to satisfy the same general, basic needs of a consumer, much like business firms do,  unlike brand competitors, who compete directly by providing the most direct competition , and offering the same  type of product to the same market, as competing firms. In other words product competitors, pose a possible  threat to business firms and/or industries products.  3.Briefly describe the types of strategic plans developed at each of the three basic levels of an organization.  What relationship must exist between and among these three levels of strategy?
