BMKT 3335  Reading Reaction  Chapter 17 Chapter 17 begins by discussing business ethics and sales management, where ethics is defined as the science of moral duty, or  the science of ideal human character. It then talks about how ethical questions are involved in many of the relationships that sales  managers have with their sales force, where ethical questions often arise in connection with promotions, termination, and  references; relations with the company, if and when, for example, ethical and legal questions arise when an executive tries to move  customers to a new firm where the executive now works; and relations with customers, where major problems areas involve  information, gifts, and entertainment. The chapter then talks about how a company may help establish an ethical climate by taking a
