Course Project Part A: Situation Statement (“Show me the numbers”) (75 points) Due September 13, 2010 Task: Create a strong, logical, and objective case for why a funder should spend money on your chosen issue or program. Imagine that you are a small social program seeking funding for a new project or issue and that Dr. Diehl is a foundation that has money to invest. Given all of the problems to be addressed, how will you convince the foundation to address yours? The essential question is: Why should a funder spend money on the issue you are addressing ?” While both intellectual and emotional appeals can be persuasive, your task here is to create the intellectual, scientific, factual, and objective case for the need to address your issue. The Situation Statement is designed to inform the reader about the issue and provide a logical case for why action is needed. The Situation Statement should draw on research, available demographic data, or other numbers that objectively describe the need or problem to be addressed. The numbers and data you provide can either be from research or from population

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
