Administrative Searches Administrative Search/Inspection This refers to a non-law enforcement intrusion (food inspectors, housing inspectors). Are there  other circumstances where the government may intrude on a person’s 4 th  Amendment rights?  Camarra v. Municipal Court  pg. 191 – The city goes out to Camarra’s home to enforce a city  code. Camarra is given a ticket for not allow the city into his home without a search warrant.  This was an administrative search (the 4 th  Amendment is a limitation on the government),  therefore administrative searches should be protected as well. The Supreme Court said that  Camarra is right in his belief. They came up with a balancing test:  The degree of the intrusiveness – This is looked at from the citizen’s point of view.                                                      VS.
