Starts off by needing to know what questions to ask to actually get the data such that you can eventually then figure out and solve the problem… you start with a blank slate Case Interview Basics: Business situations Evaluated on asking the minimum number of questions possible to get the minimum amount of information such that you can figure out the problem and solve it Three step process : Open analyze and close a case Open: Very formulaic early on in opening cases 1. Stall 2. Verify your understanding of facts and terminology; ask verifying questions to be sure you understand what is being asked of you 3. Verify that you understand what the problem the clinest has and what he wants solved… repeat what you think th e problem is to verify 4. Structure the case for analysis, and veryfiy it is correct based on the information given To structure a case is to identify what type of problem it is and what category it falls
