Projects outside of teaching: 1. Department representative to area high schools and their students. Mentor students and participate in speaking events at Community College and Area High Schools to inform students of potential careers in the arts and the educational requirements of such careers. I usually conduct 2-5 events per semester, including all day and Saturday events. Some of the schools serviced include: Northeast High School, Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts, Charter High School of Architecture and Design, Edison High School and Overbrook High School. With our efforts in this area expanding I have started coordinating event coverage with Sean Sauer. Create displays of student artwork for open houses and career days and update slide talks with contemporary examples. Work closely with the office of admissions to plan and execute career days which include art exercises designed to expose high school students to college level design thinking, tours of the facilities and critiques of the students’ portfolios.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
