ERP/GM – Pankaj Roy Gupta International Institute of Information Technology Vision and Mission A Vision of an organization expresses the fundamental  aspiration and purpose.  A Mission statement is the organization's purpose for existence. A mission statement often answers basic questions such as What business are we in ? Who are we ? What are we about ? A mission statement may describe the organization in terms of  the customer needs it aims to satisfy, the goods or services it  supplies, or the market it currently serving and intends to serve  in the future. A Vision statement adds soul to mission statement if it lacks  one.
