The students will learn the concepts, technologies, and terminologies involved in the said field. It covers topics on OS fundamental concepts and in depth discussions of various roles and responsibilities of any OS Aims and Objectives The aims of the module are: To understand the roles and responsibilities of an Operating System in detail To gain hands-on experience of Windows and Linux OS Module In-charge Vaishali Kadam Trimester I(June 2004) Prerequisites Basic Computer Architecture Learning Outcomes At the end of this module the student should be able to understand the operating system and its functions and also get a hands-on for Windows and Linux OS Learning Strategies The module will be delivered via lectures and presentations by students. There will also be hands-on for Windows and Linux OS. Students are also expected to undertake self-study time for in-course work and assignments preparation.
