ENGRI 1101: Course Info January 31, 2011 Instructor: Gwen M. Spencer, Office hours: T 5:30-6:30, W 5:30-6:30, Rhodes 412. TAs: Jason Kuo and Mark Fontana. Lecture: 10:10-11:00, Tuesday and Thursday, Phillips 307 Lab: 2:30-4:25, Thursday, Rhodes 453, starting February 3! Blackboard: Please enroll for the course on blackboard asap. There is a required course packet available through the Cornell bookstore. Once the initial set of packets are sold additional packets can be printed in 2 days by request from the bookstore. You need to set up an ORIE computer account before the first lab at http://intranet.orie.cornell.edu/, go to the Request a New Account Tab. Important Dates: 2 Prelims (March 15, April 21), Final (May 12). Grading will be as follows. Homework: 30%, Lab participation: 15%, each prelim: 15%, Final: 25%. Grading will be on a curve based on these values. Homework: there will be approximately weekly homework assignments (not including weeks in which an exam is scheduled). The homework assignments will generally be available on Thursdays and due Friday at 2 PM of the following week at a drop box on the second floor of Rhodes.
