Unformatted text preview: Richmond Ignacio 9/15/10 Essay #1 Intercultural Communications I don’t think the internet will change the way people view other people’s culture. Skype and Facebook is the number one social communications in the country. Looking at other’s people culture through Facebook, you get to see what kind of stuff they do in their culture with pictures but you can’t really experience the “enjoyable” part of their culture through the internet. You are able to get some ideas of the things they do in certain cultures. I think the best way to view other people’s culture is going to their country and experience it in real life. I was born in Manila, Philippines in the year of 1992. The economy in the Philippines was bad. Cockroaches were crawling on the floor, the couch was rusty and old, no television to watch cartoons and I had to sleep on the ground. Sometimes I was able to sleep on my parents’ bed but it was still hard to sleep on with my dad snoring so loud. School there was horrible as well; our textbooks were old with sleep on with my dad snoring so loud....
