Richmond Ignacio English 101 September 5, 2011 Kathryn Railsback Personal Goals A person needs to achieve certain goals in one’s life before you can call them successful. To be successful, you have goals to set and achieve at the end. I have set certain goals I would like to achieve in my lifetime. Some of these goals are personal while others are professional. My professional goal in life is to find a good paying job to make enough money to support my family in the near future. My personal goal I want to achieve as a student at Boise State University is to receive a college degree and make my parents proud. I know once that has been achieved, my future prospects are limitless because I’m doing the same field as my father did. Both of my parents went to Universities in the Philippines. My parent’s families were both poor and both my mother and father had to get scholarships from high school to even attend Universities in the Philippines. They have told me that they would take 21 credits every semester, which is the least amount to be taking as a college student. Both of them would have to walk about 10 miles or more instead of riding a bus to and from school, but they were never discouraged. They would also have to find jobs to support themselves and be able to stay at the Universities. My mom would tell me about having to go to the cotton fields on some days to
