Should admission to college be based solely on high school grade-point average (GPA)? Every year, there are a lot of high-school juniors or seniors in United States are preparing their admission applications for universities. These admission applications have personal statements, ACT, SAT, high school GPA or any other particular requirements in them. The admission requirements for each university are different, for example some universities will need a higher ACT score than the other universities and some will need personal statement but some don’t. There is no way that universities’ admissions will only base on high school GPA. In the following, I will explain that why universities’ admissions cannot be only based on high school GPA. In the United States, there are lot high schools. Each high school has different standard, teaching material and grading system. If universities’ admissions only base on high school GPA, it will be unfair for the applicants. Because each teacher has their own grading style or teaching style, and
