1. The issue in this argument is should school districts change to four-day school week. The writer’s position in this essay is against the idea of four-day school week. This issue is controversial, because four-day school week can help the state to reduce annual budget costs on schools. On the other side, the students, parents, teachers, and school administrators fear that changing to four-day school week will lower academic performance and the quality of education. In the second paragraph, the writer present the issue by using a recent survey by American Association of School Administrators to bring out the importance of this issue, in this survey it said the school district that change to four-day school week had grown in the past six years and this trend will continuous to grow. 2. There are some examples given in this essay to support the writer’s position.
