Chelsea Clouatre Theatre 1020 Tammy was perceived as a well brought up Christian girl, but in the Midlothia School Board meeting it was discovered the she had an unforeseen side. In the production The Metal Children Tammy was the leader of the porky pig group and believed that everyone should follow God such as she does. During the school board meeting Tammy became “overcome with the spirit” and began dancing erratically. This scene was a stunning moment to the audience because it was unexpected that Tammy would act in this fashion. During this scene many production choices contributed to the scene such as the costume Tammy was wearing and the lighting of the scene. The scene opened with the school board meeting, the chairs were positioned one behind the other, also known as classroom style. Centered in the middle of the desks was a glass podium. Tammy sat at the beginning of one row, with her porky pig friends behind her. The principle was directly across from Tammy with Tobin sitting quietly behind him. Vera and her friends sitting on another row, wearing dark clothing, yelled, “Meredith Miller lives forever!! We love you, Meredith!!” As they yelled, their freshly
