FINAL PROJECT: CLUB IT, PART 3 2 Club IT is a newly renovated establishment for individuals to gather and interact with one another in a relaxing atmosphere. The staff at Club IT is dedicated to satisfying the clientele, who is eager to visit again. The club has a music venue that ranges from “live bands on Fridays and Saturdays and a live DJ Tuesdays through Thursdays playing a collection of MP3 playlists, including hip-hop, techno, and electronic with some Top 40s” (Phoenix; Virtual Company, 2000-2006), Club IT also offers a variety of food. After the conclusion of the analysis, the desire to keep growing and eventually open another establishment, Club IT will need to change their information technology (IT) from what is being used at present. The first noted change would be to implement a point of sale Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP) (Rainer, Turban, Splettstoesser-Hogeterp, & Sanchez-Rodriguez, 2008). This system will allow organization of daily processes, tracking inventory for both food and beverage items in one centralized location. At present Club IT is conducting these processes manually on paper, leaving greater room for error. Upgrading to an ERP it will eliminate some errors as well as ‘carry over’ to the second establishment when it is open. With the implementation of a “Point of Sale system (POS)” (Aldelo Bar Point of Sale System, Bar POS Systems, 2005) Club IT staff would save ‘time’ by entering in food orders with the reassurance of accurately completed orders for the kitchen as well as the beverage bar, enabling the staff to have less ‘run time’ and more client service time. Another advantage of using the POS will be the accuracy of the inventory, this will give Club IT an active role in prevention of shortage(s) of supplies. Club IT will also need to update the website to be user-friendly to the club’s clientele; by allowing easier access to advanced ticket sales and merchandise on hand and sold. Club IT is a nightclub owned by Ruben Keys and Lisa Tejanda, they are graduates with degrees in business administration. After graduation, both Ruben and Lisa decided to open a nightclub together. Club IT’s staff consists of an “Assistant Manager, four bartenders, six servers, two stewards, two short

The staffing provides the clientele with services pertaining to the beverage and food offered as well as assisting with the sale of merchandise. Club IT’s website is not as user-friendly as it could be. The website needs to be restructured to allow the advanced sales of tickets and a more appealable ‘layout’ of the merchandise for sale. By making the website more user-friendly with ease of access and purchasing for the clientele, it will be result in a happier clientele base and increase the sales of merchandise, thus creating repeat clients to
