Elias Tsihlis Art 1000C 10:30 AM Date: 3/27/11 Creativity and the Nirvana: Smells like teen spirit Professor Louis DiGena G rowing up in the mid-to-late 90s, I did hear Nirvana's music throughout my early childhood and it positively affected me. I really got into the group and Kurt Cobain himself at age 13. I appreciated their sound and was fascinated by a person who was similar to me in some ways and made ground breaking and original music, starting a completely new genre which took raw talents and guts. I know many people may say they're totally like Kurt Cobain, but I don't see myself this way, just as someone who can relate to his circumstances I also came from a divorced family, which changed me completely. I read his journals and have obsessively listened to Nirvana for years, the good stuff and bad, heh, and I feel connected to the lyrics and a few aspects of Kurt Cobain's personality life though certainly not all.
