Leverette 1 Lacey Leverette Ms. Helana Brigman English 1001, Section 8 19 July 2010 Get in my Belly Surrogacy is the act of one woman carrying a child that has the opportunity to be related to either one, or both parents by using medical technology to fulfill the couple’s dreams of having a baby. According to Rayven Perkins is “Information on Surrogacy,” the most common users of a surrogate as a way to have a child that is biologically related to them are infertile couples. Noel Keane, a lawyer, launched the creation of the first surrogacy agency. He wrote the first contract between a surrogate mother and the intended parents. According to Kate Ashley in “History of Surrogate Motherhood,” “the technological solution has saved an awful lot of heartache for many families,” because the couple’s dreams of making a family set in reality.
