Additional Reading Lecturer: Andrea Tan Website: http://telt.unsw.edu.au 2 Week 8 Introduction & Learning Objectives In the first part of the lecture this week, we will continue with the Kurosawa Ltd. demonstration to calculate cash flows using the indirect method of calculating cash flow from operations. Starting with the net profit figure, we will reconcile profit to cash using accrual information. You are required to download lecture slides from Blackboard in advance to use in this lecture . And remember to bring the Week 7 lecture notes with you in order to complete the preparation of the Statement of Cash Flows for Kurosawa Ltd. The second part of the lecture, we will analyse what information cash flow statements provide us with. We will examine some aspects of cash flow performance measures. The last part of the lecture wraps up our discussion of cash flows and is in workshop style. Suggested Sections of the Required Readings: Trotman & Gibbins Chapter 13 Jeter, D.C.
