BIGNELL'S OUTREACH CENTER FOR TEENS 2 Bignell's Outreach Center for teens The young are our future. They need a place to vent, play, and do constructive activities. A lot of the children out there committing violent crimes are misled bored and cannot see anything better to do with their time. It is our duty to help lead them to adulthood. It is time to get these children off the street and into a setting that they will not be bored. This outreach program will need volunteers, donations, staff, and time. We expect our children to keep good grades, and stay out of trouble while keeping busy. Working parents do not have the proper time to tend to these children. These kids are expected to grow up faster than what they should. Some of these teens believe they have no one to talk to. They are not reaching out to others about their problems. Here at the outreach center we will have volunteers and staff to communicate with the teens, and help them with their concerns. Schools were forced to cut back on the after school actives, due to lack of funding. The teens are now hanging out in the stores. They are steeling and disrespecting everyone who they see. These teens have nothing better to do, so if we give them something better they will stop this nonsense. I remember when I was a teen we had a teen center for two years. The city closed it down due to funding. It kept us kids off the streets and we built lifelong friendships there. We also learned a lot as we were responsible for cleaning the center. If we had a problem we had a social worker to talk to. We learned that respect is not given it is earned. At the Outreach Center we will have various types of activities. These activities will range from tutors, counselors, music, games, and just somewhere to go and hang out with their friends. This will provide the kids a safe place to go after school to do homework, or just to hang out with their friends. There will be some set rules for the program. These rules will help provide structure for the children. The main rule will be respecting everyone. One of our goals is
