What were some of the factors that motivated the writing of the Constitution, and what assumptions concerning human nature and the best form of government were considered at the Convention in Philadelphia? In addition, what form of government did the founders eventually produce? (NOTE: In answering the second part of this question, you might consider some of the principles incorporated into the Constitution). 2. The formal amendment process is one means by which the Constitution can be changed. However, other means of constitutional change exist as well. Write an essay in which you (1) explain the various means of formal change and discuss some of the problems associated with them,; (2) indicate what the formal amendment process has achieved; and (3) discuss some of the other means of constitutional change and how they have been developed.
